3.7.4. Ignition system

GENERAL INFORMATION

The system of ignition provides complete control over adjustment of a corner of an advancing of ignition. The electronic control unit defines an optimum angle of an advancing of ignition for this speed, temperatures of the engine, the provision of a butterfly valve and depression in an inlet collector.

Ignition system with the ignition distributor

The ignition system with the distributor of ignition is established on all models, except models of 1998 of release. The system consists of the lock of ignition, the accumulator, the coil and the distributor of ignition, the electronic control unit, wires of a high voltage and spark plugs.

Ignition system without the ignition distributor (only models of 1998 of release)

This system consists of the ignition coil with a separate conclusion for each cylinder, and also the corresponding sensors and the electronic control unit.

Check
PERFORMANCE ORDER
Ignition system with the ignition distributor
1. First of all, check connecting wires and reliability of connections. Check a battery charging and burned-through crossing points in an impellent compartment.
2. Check spark existence on spark plugs.
3. If the spark is not present, check a distributor cover, a begunok and wires of a high voltage.
4. Check tension existence on a wire of the high voltage going from a secondary winding of the coil of ignition.
5. Check tension existence on primary winding of the coil of ignition. Check resistance of windings of the coil of ignition.
6. Replace faulty elements.
Ignition system without the ignition distributor
7. Check spark existence on each of spark plugs in turn.
8. Check resistance of windings of the coil of ignition. Check tension giving on the ignition coil.
9. Check resistance of wires of a high voltage. Replace faulty elements.
