Electric chains of the car are protected by a set of safety locks, switches and burned-through crossing points. The block of a box of safety locks includes a box of safety locks, wires and their sockets of connection and is located behind the dashboard on the party of the driver.

Each of safety locks protects the chain and its belonging to this or that chain is designated on a cover of a box of safety locks. Tiny safety locks with flat plugs are established in the block of safety locks.

In case of an exit of any element of electric equipment out of operation, first of all it is necessary to check safety locks. It is easy to define fused safety lock visually via the transparent plastic case. Also, flat plugs of connection of safety locks are visible in the block of safety locks and it is possible to check a chain continuity.

It is very important to use safety locks of the demanded capacity. Various electric chains demand protection against currents of various capacity. The most admissible size of a current for a chain is designated in amperes on the safety lock case by color code designations and on a cover of a box of safety locks.


Prevention

It is forbidden to replace a safety lock with a metal or foil slice. It can lead to serious damages to electric equipment system.


If the safety lock fuses right after replacement, do not replace it again, yet do not establish and do not eliminate a cause of defect. In most cases, the cause of defect is the short circuit caused by the come-off or old wire.

The oven and the conditioner consume a large number of the electric power therefore the box of safety locks has the switch for protection of their chains. If the chain is disconnected by the switch, switch off an oven and the conditioner before that, to press the button of reinstallation of the switch.

The block of safety locks is located on the left side of the dashboard. The second block of safety locks is located under the dashboard on the party of the driver.

It is possible to define fused safety lock visually.
